How We Elevated Textbook Painting’s Web Presence Without Sacrificing SEO

Project Overview

Textbook Painting is a residential painting company based in Cleveland, Ohio. They had an existing website that performed well in search rankings, but visually, it did not reflect the size or professionalism of their company. The owner wanted a website that not only looked great but also maintained the strong SEO foundation they had built with their existing provider.

The challenge was balancing a complete visual redesign while ensuring that none of their search engine rankings were negatively impacted. This required close collaboration with their SEO provider to keep the existing URL structure intact and preserve all backend optimizations.

The Challenge

Textbook Painting’s website was already highly optimized, ranking well in search results thanks to an external SEO agency managing their strategy. However, the design was outdated and failed to represent the company’s reputation and expertise.

The main challenge was updating the design without altering the structure that contributed to their rankings. Any changes to URL structure, meta data, or on-page content could potentially impact their SEO performance, which meant every step of the redesign had to be handled with caution.

Additionally, the company wanted to ensure that their authority in the industry was reflected in the new design, making them stand out from competitors while still maintaining a familiar and user-friendly layout.

The Solution

Following our structured web development process, we designed the new website in Figma and built it using WordPress with Elementor.

What made this project unique was the high level of coordination required with multiple stakeholders. Throughout the project, we worked closely with the SEO provider to ensure no critical site elements were altered in a way that could negatively affect rankings. This included using a staging site to test everything before launch, ensuring seamless migration

In addition to technical considerations, we focused on creating a design that felt modern, authoritative, and aligned with the company’s position in the industry. The goal was to give them a strong visual identity that complemented their reputation for quality service.

Lessons Learned

This project reinforced the importance of SEO in web development. A visually stunning website is useless if it doesn’t rank well in search engines, and a high-ranking site can lose its traffic if major structural changes aren’t handled properly.

One key takeaway was recognizing that SEO and web design require separate but equally strategic approaches. While we don’t provide full SEO management services, we learned firsthand how crucial it is to work alongside SEO specialists to ensure that a redesign doesn’t unintentionally hurt a company’s online visibility.

For businesses looking to upgrade their website while maintaining strong search rankings, this project highlights the importance of strategic planning, clear communication, and working with experts in both web design and SEO.

Let us know if your website needs a visual upgrade without compromising search performance. We can help make that happen.

The Results

The final website successfully elevated Textbook Painting’s online presence while making sure their SEO rankings remained stable. The new design gave them a more professional and authoritative look, making them stand out among competitors.

The owner was extremely happy with the final product!
