We Built a Modern Website for a Surveying Company and Improved Their SEO

Project Overview

Trans Texas Surveying and Mapping is a surveying company based outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. They provide a range of land surveying and mapping services and needed a website that better reflected their expertise.

Their previous website was outdated and limited in functionality. They wanted a more modern design that better showcased their services and allowed them to accept online payments. Additionally, as they expanded into drone surveying, they needed SEO support to help them rank in search results for this new service.

The Challenge

Their existing website lacked a professional, updated look and didn’t have a way for customers to make online payments. As they expanded their services, they also wanted to ensure they could generate more leads for drone surveying, but their site wasn’t optimized for search engines.

The Solution

Like many of our website projects, we followed our standard design and development process using WordPress and Elementor for the build. However, this project required additional work to integrate Square for payments and a focused SEO strategy for their drone surveying services.

For the SEO-focused landing page, we used SE Ranking for keyword research to determine what potential customers were searching for. We then built and optimized the page using Yoast SEO to track keyword placement, readability, and metadata. Alt text was added to all images to enhance search visibility, and we carefully structured headings and content to improve rankings.

This project reinforced the importance of combining strong web design with SEO strategy. A modern website alone doesn’t drive traffic; targeted SEO efforts are essential to ensuring the right audience finds your services.
