The Challenge
Creating a brand-new ad without capturing brand-new content isn’t easy. Most companies would scrap the idea altogether or accept a second-rate video. But we saw an opportunity to stretch what already existed and turn it into something that actually worked.
We needed to:
- Repurpose older, disjointed footage into something clean and modern
- Create a voiceover script that made sense with what was already on screen
- Edit multiple formats of the video for various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google.
- Deliver all of this without an on-location shoot
The Solution
Our team dug through all available footage, including older commercials and newer clips we’d taken during a separate shoot, to storyboard a new 30-second commercial. Once we mapped out what could work visually, we wrote a custom voiceover to match the visual flow and highlight the new offer.
With that voiceover in place, we passed everything to our in-house video editor, who stitched together a smooth, professional-grade commercial from recycled content. The end result looked and sounded like a new campaign, without the time or cost of a full shoot.
We also created several versions of the final product, sized and formatted for each advertising channel.
The Results
Textbook Painting now has a fresh, compelling video ad for their exterior painting service, built completely from existing footage and a newly produced voiceover. The commercial has already performed well across campaigns and continues to support lead generation as part of a larger funnel strategy.
The best part? They didn’t need to book a videographer or schedule a shoot. It was fast, cost-effective, and efficient.
